Beehive celebrates the powerful female voices of the 1960’s with such timeless hits as “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “Be My Baby,” “Son of a Preacher Man” and “Me and Bobby McGee.” Told from the perspective of six young women who come of age in this enigmatic decade, Beehive takes us from their first Beehive Dance to the challenges we faced as a nation.

CAST

LILLIAN LESLIE (Wanda)

Lillian is a singer, dancer, actress and choreographer from Indianapolis, Indiana. Lillian began her training at The Dance Company, Indianapolis at the age of four. She has choreographed for show choir, as well as two musicals, MY FAIR LADY and YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. She is a recent graduate at Ball State University, earning her degree in Musical Theatre. Lillian’s notable performances are seen at Ball State University in her role as Clara in THE NUTCRACKER, Bridget in BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL, and Frenchie in CABARET. Lillian is so excited to debut in her first professional performance with The Harmony Theater as Wanda in BEEHIVE!

HALEY IVERSON (Pattie)

Haley is jazzed to be back for her second production at The Harmony Theater! Haley is from Dayton, Ohio, and graduated from The Warren County Career Center for welding. She was a TIG welder for General Electric Aviation before deciding to pursue theatre full time. Recent credits include Wilbur in CHARLOTTE’S WEB, Francine Valli in JERSEY BOYS, Cookie in PETER PAN, and Ensemble/Daphne in HOLIDAY INN.

ANNABETH ELSTON (Alison)

Annabeth is thrilled to be making her professional theatre debut! Originally from Spring Hill, TN, Annabeth moved to Muncie, Indiana to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University. She is a recent graduate and is eager to share her craft with you. Favorite performances include CABARET; TAP!; INTO THE WOODS; YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN; and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. Favorite original works include THE OCTOPUS GIRL and FAMILY IS FOREVER. In her spare time, Annabeth loves journalling, going on long walks, and spending time with loved ones. Much love to her fam! DANA BIXLER (Laura)

Dana is thrilled to work on her first show at The Harmony Theater. Dana is a New York actress with experience in Off-Broadway, regional theatres, and voice over. Previous roles include Anya in ANASTASIA, Wendla in SPRING AWAKENING, and Rose in THE SECRET GARDEN. You can also find her work on Netflix, Nickelodeon, and Audible. KOMOCA (Gina)

Komoca is a singer/songwriter who loves musical theatre. She studied theatre at Butler University and began her journey acting in local theatre. Komoca is no stranger to performing. She has performed in Nashville TN, Columbus OH, and Rockford IL using the talent she was born to use. Komoca performed on Fox 59 Indy Now. Komoca’s creativity and drive for music landed her roles like Nehebka in the musical, AIDA, touring with award-winning stage play, HERE LIES HIS SECRETS and performing in the Indianapolis District Theatre Voices of the Avenue musical. Komoca enjoys musical theatre and all the excitement being on stage brings.

NYKERA GARDNER (Jasmine)

Nykera is so excited to play the role of Jasmine. She's a recent musical theater college graduate of Bowling Green State University and is so excited to be a part of BEEHIVE at The Harmony Theater! She has recently performed in her school's production of SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL as Perch Pekins and Clare in POOR CLARE. She has also appeared on screen in "The Lifeguards Movie" as Brenda, available on Amazon Prime. She hopes you have as much fun at the show as much as she does. TJ BIRD (Artistic Director, Light & Sound Design, Costume & Set Design)

TJ is from Decatur, IN, and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's in Voice Performance. Career highlights include: Training and touring for Missoula Children's Theatre, performer and Company Manager for Round Barn Theatre, Teaching Theater Artist for Kidstock! Creative Theater, Artistic Associate for Towle Theater, and performing many other staff and technical positions throughout their career. Favorite performance credits include: Nicely-Nicely Johnson in GUYS AND DOLLS, Eugene in SH-BOOM!, Leslie in LOVE, SEX & THE I.R.S., Pap/King in BIG RIVER, Mr. Bumble in OLIVER, and Willard Hewitt in FOOTLOOSE! KATE WALKER (Director/Choreographer)

Kate is excited to be back in Hillsboro at The Harmony Theater where she previously (for MDT) had a blast directing MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, SISTERS OF SWING and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Harmony acting credits include Sylvia in ALL SHOOK UP, Elsa in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Vera in AND THEN THERE WERE NONE and several holiday shows. Other select credits include Donna in MAMMA MIA, Sr. Aloysius in DOUBT, and Rita in EDUCATING RITA. Kate has directed/choreographed more than twenty-five shows in central Indiana. Some favs include INTO THE WOODS, CHILDREN OF EDEN, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, CABARET, A CHORUS LINE, OUT OF ORDER, ANYTHING GOES, THE 39 STEPS and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. She is a proud Ball State Theatre Grad – Chirp, Chirp - and thanks her family, especially husband Rick, for their love and never-ending support. Enjoy the show!

TERESA ROSS (Music Director)

Teresa is grateful to be performing in her fourth season at The Harmony Theater (formerly Myers Dinner Theatre). Previous roles include: Jack’s Mother in INTO THE WOODS; Stepmother in CINDERELLA; Esther in TWO BY TWO; Clairee in STEEL MAGNOLIAS; Reverend Mother in NUNSENSE 2; Clara in DON’T HUG ME. Teresa earned music education degrees from Indiana University (B.M.E.) and Indiana State University (M.M.E.). Retired from teaching music and drama in Indiana and Illinois, Teresa teaches private music lessons, writes songs and devotionals, and volunteers at the horse camp at Hanging Rock Christian Camp. Teresa sends special love to her children, Brandon and Amber.

JESSICA ALLTOP (Production Stage Manager, Props Designer)

Jessica is from Terre Haute, IN where she received a Bachelor’s in Theatre from Indiana State University. She lives with her husband, Ethan, their three cats, Coretta, Beanie Baker, and Refried, and her rather large houseplant collection. Jessica has been working at The Harmony Theater (formerly Myers Dinner Theatre) off and on since 2012 in a few different positions including Costume Assistant/Seamstress, Costumer, Prop Manager, and Production Stage Manager. Some career highlights include: Stage Manger for THE MIRACULOUS JOURNEY OF EDWARD TULANE with Crossroads Repertory Theatre (both in house and local tour), Core Member/Stage Manager for Theater 7, multiple summer seasons as Stage Manager with Putnam County Playhouse and Crossroads Repertory Theatre, and Stage Manager for the COMING TO SEE AUNT SOPHIE tour to the Chopin Theatre through Crossroads Repertory Theatre. ELINDA DOTY (Costume Assistant)

Elinda is from Avon, IN and enjoys working with local community theaters. She is the costumer for Brownsburg High School Concert & Show Choirs. Hoping to keep an asthmatic child of the 60's entertained on the couch, Mom enrolled me in "Craft of the Month". Much to her dismay the result was me repurposing my new tangerine orange swimsuit into a babydoll dress. Since my 1st machine at age 10, sewing is still my happy place. Thanks for all the support from family and friends.
